It is built to be a comprehensive database of corruption related information and issues in Nigeria, providing news on corruption related issues, statistics, an archive of relevant documents, information on the projects and initiatives of the groups and organizations working in anti-corruption. It brings to the public space a structured presentation of the work being done by CSOs and media agencies, publicizing their projects, activities and events. It also provides technology tools to facilitate the work of the civil society organizations and media agencies. There are other tools which enable citizens engage and participate in anti-corruption campaigns. The Anti-Corruption Internet Database (ACID) portal therefore is a powerful platform for civic engagement and public advocacy in anti-corruption. The ACID project is funded by Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA).
